What's New?
I have a million opinions about stuff, and I troll the internet endlessly.
But when it comes to putting things out here?
Not so good at sharing.

New Posters I Made for Work
Thought I would share with you all a series of posters that I made for work.
The artwork is from students, poster design by me (these are screen shots), size is 11x17.
We hang them up in the buildings to entice students to enroll in specific classes.

Bike Parking
This week I've been using a new bike parking system
by my train station. It's BikeLink (videos) and it is a little
metal cage that my bike is locked away in for the day. I have to say
though, that I had a harder time figure it all out the first time I
used it. The cages at my train station are "V" shaped and my
bike is not super-slender, so I have to make sure to load my bike
back wheel first.
In Japan, they have a much more hi-tech version of the bike parking system.

Colleen Atwood
Not necessarily a household name, Colleen Atwood is the costume designer
behindmost of Tim Burton's movies. She has worked on Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd and the new Alice in Wonderland, as well as many other Tim and non-Tim movies, including Gattaca and Lemony Snicket's, A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Obviously, I love her attention to detail, use of colors and monochromatics,
sumptuous fabrics like velvets and silks and embracing of Victorian era looks, with modern twists.

Today
The power went off this morning for about an hour,
the sun was shining...so we decided to drive to Union
City for doughnuts. And hobby stores. We came across
the RC track below.
Eventually, we ended up at Talbot's and picked up a a Crystal
Growing kit and a Hex bug, which the cats seem to be excited about!

Asian-style meal
On Sundays I like to run to the grocery store and make
something a little more special for dinner that night.

Fried tofu with assorted stir-fry vegetables.
Second course, and star of the show, was a
Brussels Sprouts
We made a dish from the Veganomicon one night,
the Braised Seitan with Brussels, Kale and Sun-Dried Tomatoes. While I spot the sun-dried tomatoes in there, I can't recall if we added Kale or just happened to have a million brussels sprouts instead. I remember it was good.
